Dr. Sudha Sinha

Dr. Sudha Sinha is currently the Clinical Director, of Oncology Services and Head of the Department, of Medical Oncology at Care Hospitals, Hyderabad.

She graduated from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad, India and went on to complete her MD in Internal Medicine from St Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, New Jersey, USA (Part of Mount Sinai Medical Center). She subsequently completed her DM (Fellowship) in Hematology/Oncology from St Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. Sudha is certified by the American Board of Hematology, the American Board of Oncology, and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She joined as Assistant Professor at MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Center, Hyderabad in 2007 as soon as she returned from the USA. She had a distinguished career at MNJ, where she was Head of the Medical Oncology Department before she moved into the Private sector in 2017.

At MNJ, she was instrumental in:

⮚ Establishing a separate department for Medical Oncology

⮚ Set up a 60-bed ward and started an adult leukemia program

⮚ Established of its kind (the first in South India and largest in India) Pediatric Oncology Program.

⮚ Started ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) funded hospital-based National Cancer Registry Program She is currently leading a team of highly trained and skilled Medical, Surgical, and Radiation oncologists, and has established Care Hospitals as one of India’s leading Cancer Care Centers. Dr. Sudha has a keen interest in Cancer Research and has published more than 30 papers in leading international and Indian medical journals and publications. She was awarded the best investigator award during her fellowship and the resident research scholarship award during her MD.She has been recognized by various organizations for her pioneering work in cancers related to women and children.
